What The Hell Am I Doing Here? #1

I like living in Germany, I really do, I love it and a goodly percentage of its citizens. But sometimes it’s the tiny differences of culture and behaviour that get on your nerves. Yes, I know I’m a guest in this wonderful land, but there are a few things, which if rectified, would make your splendid country even better. Actually, it’s just that I don’t like:

Point - Old women that stand on the U-Bahn when its relatively busy and glare at you as if you should be offering them your seat - even though there are free seats.
Point - So, you do stand up to offer your seat to the scary old witch who says “No - I’m only going the one stop, and there are plenty of free seats anyway”

So stop it! Okay?

The whole point of customer service is just too much to go into in one day, although I’m sure I’ll make the mistake of trying to go shopping or use a bank and go off on a rant before too long. So here’s just a quick note to the staff of McDonalds at Rotebühlplatz / Stadtmitte. It’s called a “happy” meal and it’s meant to be “fast” food. Just a thought…..
