Running Through a Cultural Mish-Mash

No Photoshop hereOkay, so England is the same as Europe with some minor differences - 50% extra drizzle at no extra cost - that sort of thing…… Yeah, yeah, there is a bit more to it than that, but let’s stick to the rain stereotype for starters, eh?
Best news of the day - sore shoulder and the law hardly broken - second best is; 5 mile run (not 8km, 5 miles) in 27:27. Once I would have castigated myself for such a performance - but bearing in mind the paucity of my training over the past few months I’m overjoyed. I even jogged the 4 or so miles home from the race along the muddy canal bank - every person I met greeted me with a “‘ow do?” - in Germany no one speaks to me when I’m running - here when I was asked if “I hope you’re wearing spikes in this mud”, I replied,
“leider nicht”
In England.
Oh the shame.
German Word For Today:Faux pas” - getting really confused now
