16 hours 5 minutes! 108 degrees ITS! Great Job! (As the Yanks say).
Did you pick up this on dehydration?

I don’t believe it - they’re probably still trying to atone for dehydrating Schiavo. Still, if you get a chance, ask him what he thinks - when it’s over 80 ITS, I drink 1 liter per 10 miles…
Gandalf: I didn’t want to go into the whole Schiavo case, but I do know that if I ever end up like that and you’re going to kill me; do it properly, don’t starve / dehydrate me. Give me a dose of something which causes absurd happinesss, then a muscle relaxant / barbituate - wait ’til I’m completely out of it and then stop my heart with KCl.
And don’t give me any of that crap about dying with dignity - I’m being killed, that may be what I want, but don’t let medics use weasel words to say that by not actively contributing to my/his/her death we haven’t broken our Hippocratic oath…..
As a scientist and nitpicker I have to point out that it is actually “42.195 m”. The comma needs to be replaced. This rule does not make much sense, but then again we also say “four hundred nine-and-sixty” for 469.
The Berlin marathon is already fully booked from what I hear. Which one are you going to run, AF?
All the best from the Berlin,
JCS: Bugger! I’d forgotten I’d put the km on the “German” side….. For an Englishman 42.195m sounds a little precise, but you should manage it in 5 seconds……
Don’t we traditionally just leave a space instead of the comma? We certainly don’t use a period for local or international publication (I’m in science as well; what a small and incestuous universe), since that denotes a decimal value.
The London Marathon is chock-full too. I’m not aiming for this one as my knee still acts up when running on concrete; a year of grass, sand, treadmill and therapy should do the trick.
How is he today?
