There May Be Trouble Ahead….

Posted on Sunday 22 January 2006

Version 2.0 of Wordpress has been out for over three weeks now and I still haven’t got around to upgrading. I was er, watching for initial teething problems you see.
Now it seems to be running stably enough and more importantly, I have a huge pile of washing which needs some excuse to be put off being done. If the screen goes black over the course of the next few hours / days - you know that I’ve buggered up and should have done the ironing instead.

Update: Well, that went as well as could be expected… Although God only knows where the giraffe has come from.

German Word For Today:upgedated oder geupdated?” - Never quite sure “verbesserte Version installiert?

Need to get used to the new look, but all seems to be working. Well, apart from the RSS Feed. RSS Bandit complained that the old one doesn’t exist any more, so I deleted that one and subscribed to the new one. Are you going to redirect requests for the old one?

Armin yes, I’ll rename the RSS feed to the old one “www.inactualfact.com/wp-rss2.php”, thanks for pointing it out. Probably won’t get done until tomorrow though…

I miss the unconcious tribute to your name. Bring back NASA and I will be happy.

Haddock, Devonboy: Oim sure thay (oh stop it) doesn’t understand all that new-fangled jiggery pokery that was going on the server side, but it was cleverer (if not so attractive).

In-Law: A certain former observatory worker (who shall remain nameless) thought the lunar eclipse header was bloody Mars. Anyway, although there will be tweaking and messing about (Gravatars soon, and small text boxes for tiny links, I promise) it HAS to be German for a while.

I would say geupdated, what with updated not being separable - “was machst du?” “Ich date up”
