Mum, Dad. I’ve Got Something To Tell You…

It should probably have appeared in the Outbox of my e-mail program though…..

Dot, get a different username, or do you find the greeting that other people receive amusing?

Song playing as this was published: The Smiths - “How Soon Is Now?”

BiB: I’m not sure Dorothy really is my friend, you know. Sometimes I think she’s just using me to gain access to my male friends. It’s hard to tell with girls like that.

: I’ll have you know that I have an index/ring finger ratio of 0.96, and, at least according to this test I’m less beige (just) than TEFL Smiler.

I’ll see your 0.96 and raise you… or lower you, or whatever, 0.93 (link’s broken: take off the ‘target’). But only on my left hand. 0.98 on the other. I’m now worried, because not only did I not notice the difference for far too many years (it’s only the ring fingers which differ) but I’m sure it must be a sign something very, very bad.

But all that is getting away from the point. I didn’t know you were even acquainted with Dorothy. How long have you known her? How did you meet?

INOAP: Tis a wonderful song and the girl in the video, despite her having blonde hair, set the standard for “women I lust after” for quite a while. It was the pouty-lipped, bobbed hair, hippy chick thing, that ended up with me at university saying; “Yes, this soya milk really is quite, quite delicious darling - although obviously by saying darling I mean it in a post-ironic condemnation of a male-dominated society whose shackles we must, well, unshackle” and subscribing to the New Internationalist kind of way.

She never forgave me for going to Burger King and I never forgave her for sleeping with my best friend.
and “No. It’s not the same as a Whopper.”
I’m not quite sure how she meant that, but it hurt a little. At first, apparantly.

I now know what you meant by beige - you were referring to the colour on the chart. At first I thought it was a euphemism for me having Dorothy on speed-dial.
