In the future, BBC news online won’t put stories like this at the head of their “science” section. And, although the future for humans might sound attractive:
“..in the nearer future, humans will evolve in 1,000 years…women will develop lighter, smooth, hairless skin, large clear eyes, pert breasts, glossy hair, and even features. Racial differences will be ironed out by interbreeding, producing a uniform race of coffee-coloured people.”
…there’s always the minor problem that “(Evolutionary theorist Oliver Curry) carried out the report for men’s satellite TV channel Bravo.” Whilst, if the ‘coffee-coloured people’ reference is anything to go by, listening to The Greatest Hits Of 1970 and smoking God-only-knows what.
I mean, really. It is “popular” science, at least in the sense that it’s currently the 2nd most-read story on the BBC website.Of course, there’s also the possibility that, in this case, “popular” just means “not really”.
