Mr. Haddock: I watched the match - it was on terrestial BBC! Wimmin playin' football! Clothed!
Actually it's nowhere near here as popular as in Germany - and it was BBC2 in the afternoon, but they have been cutting into 'proper' Match Of The Day now and again, but today it was "amusing" to notice that the half-time chat with Linekar, Shearer etc. wasn't with Linekar, Shearer etc. and it wasn't in the Match Of The Day Studio - it was in a pretty studio with pastel colours and a computer-imposed background of floating pink flowers. Anyway, yes, er harsh but fair. Game of two halves. 'Crucial' match for England. Back to the studio, Barry.
And if Germany can beat the dastardly Argies/rightful owners of Las Malvinas eleven-nil we must stand some chance, right. Right? And if we could draw with our Japanese cousins 2-2, then Germany should at least be able to get a point off them, right. Right? So, our teams both through and the Swedes already on their way home. Which is a shame, because they're easily the most attractive team in the tournament (I mean their style of play, obviously).

A goaless draw was a fair result. It means that both teams can still qualify for the knockout stages if they win there next games :)
