Lib-Dem Leadership Election Scandal:

Posted on Monday 3 December 2007

Vince Cable’s name isn’t even on the voting forms! The man’s been a revelation during the latest (pick one) governmental ‘mishaps’. Where have they been hiding him all these years?

I voted in a Lib-Dem leadership election once, I must admit. Long time ago though.

Ooh, Mr. Penguin, I had a Lib Dem membership card for a year but never got to vote for a leader. Actually, when you think about it, it’s no wonder that all the opinion polls say that so many members are undecided - there are only two candidates and the lib dems are used to picking ‘the one that comes third.’

The candidate I voted for won (I only pick winners!). Talented bloke, went on to become Viceroy of Bosnia-Herzegowinia (sp.?). Come to think of it, the first and only time I ever voted in the UK, I had 9 votes (joint local elections), six of which I cast for my parents (!). I’m disenfranchised now, I’ve discovered: more than 15 years in forrin parts.
